    Great thread about a very interesting paper. I find the comparison of the different approaches and the use of Lakatos esp insightful. Guess this helps to address some blind spots of the dominant institutional view on development by highlighting the relevance of structural factors

    Exactly! It’s not enough to pack references with women/ non white authors after you’ve finished your work. The point is, if you value the research produced by women scholars is so actually have their work inform your research!
