Well, I think if Australia wins the first (cricket) Test, as is very likely, Abbott will try to ride the wave of nationalist fervour and in doing that besmirch the win in the eyes of many many cricket lovers. In addition the way he does it will show his insincerity and lack of cricket knowledge.
