    But I’m sure regulators like will appreciate spreading around the globe they wasted their time on a fraudulent invention of the media. They should note he claims the same thing about the 2016 Russian election interference.

    Completely absurd to call the Cambridge Analytica reporting "fraudulent." If all you cared about was whether CA's targeting models elected Trump, you were missing a much bigger point about how data is misused and how companies that purport to keep data secure have failed.

    Despite takes from people like , and (based on a regulatory follow-up letter rather than their actual report last year), the Cambridge Analytica and Facebook investigation is still deeply active. So ignore them.

    woah. The attorney general of DC has had enough with Facebook's apparent cover-up ahead and during its Cambridge Analytica scandal. Zuckerberg and Sandberg famously refused subpoenas and testimony on it. Now a judge is about to rule on whether he'll allow discovery on them. 🍿

    Fascinating graphic. It’s political carnage to rightly call it the “American Virus” and it’s inaccurate to keep calling it the “China Virus.” Can we compromise and re-brand it as the “Other Virus?”

    Key point from this new WSJ story, and something to remember when Trump touts his China travel ban: "While the country was still looking outward, researchers now believe the earliest infections in many states came mostly from travel within the U.S."

    This will no doubt be taken politically but her point is spot on. I would expect this of any President to any public leader after the allegations filed yesterday.

    ps Issie did the right thing here by screencapping Glenn’s garbage (I did not). His placement of CA in a frame with problematic misinfo/disinfo like Alfa and Steele Dossier is also an intentional way to confuse truth. FB paid $5B to settle for a reason. Data crime was real.

    btw, the other thing in garbage recasting is it would depend on FB paid $5B to settle “fraudulent” claims and DC judge wasting 2yrs on AG case. They’re not and the case was absolutely real, Glenn is just using a follow-up letter as if it’s a Barr summary of Mueller.

    Glenn, not sure what happened to you over the years but this tweet is false. To suggest reporting on CA was fraudulent ignores the data crime, findings by Canada & UK DPAs, $5B+ settlements and ongoing matters w AG here. Not to mention Russia connections were turned over to NCA.

    So much of the most impactful Trump-era “reporting” has been proven fraudulent — Cambridge Analytica, Alfa Bank & the Steele Dossier are just the latest — but media outlets don’t want to know because they profited greatly, sold books, & showered themselves with Pulitzers for it.
