    Right. The neo-Buddhist rants about Shankara "massacring" the Buddhists are fanciful, but inspired on Shankara's equally fanciful glorification by his followers. Likewise, the anti-Hindus' claim that caste is based on the Purusha Sukta is largely based on similar Hindu claims.

    No philosopher in the history of philosophy has never SINGLE-HANDEDLY DECISEVLY destroyed any school of thought. Philosophers are humans, not superhumans that turn the course of human thought with a few arguments, that only happens in myths, not in reality.
