The parliament is full of these nutbags with unsupportable views, but you wouldn’t know it from reading or listening to the mainstream media. For them, bullshit justifications for endless slaughter in the name of the prestige and standing of the US empire are the bread and butter of legitimate debate.

Yet anyone who dares question the motives of the killing machine is derided as somehow insensitive. What hypocrisy.

What’s with all these former conservative politicians back in the limelight? Is there some sort of voodoo conference on bringing these political corpses back to life?

The state is not ‘abolished’. It withers away.

Overshadowing all this is the class struggle in France where workers are challenging the dictatorship of capital, at this stage inchoately, through strikes and demonstrations.

This is very possibly the beginning of a crisis for the regime in France, with a class fight in the form of strikes and demonstrations against the government on one side, and the working masses on the other side. The result will be key in Europe where the right wing, including the extreme right, has been on a political offensive.

Nationalise the mines under workers’ control.

If French workers do begin to occupy their workplaces, it opens up the possibility of a truly democratic society in which production is organised to satisfy human need.
