That's exactly the regime I follow now! I pay the licence fee to watch University Challenge and nothing else recently! I can't even bare to listen to BBC Radio 4 any longer and until 12 months ago used to listen at every opportunity I could find! Its all tainted now!

Yes, totally. I switch on BBC2 at 8pm on Mondays, for an hour of quizzing, and keep an eye out for good BBC4 documentaries. That's it now. I can't stand any of the news programmes at all and I used to have the news channel on all the time.

I haven’t listened to BBC news for about two years because of their lack of fact based journalism. And it’s become more overt this year.

I've been a staunch defender of the BBC, I think it makes some of the best TV in the world, punching massively above its weight. But I'm afraid I no longer trust it as a news outlet, and I'm pretty sure this government is setting it up for privatisation or failure. Or both.

Me. I stopped listening to Today, in the morning during the last election. Also stopped listening to BBC news too. I totally made the right decision.

People the world over used to rely on the integrity and impartiality of the BBC. That was never the case with commercial broadcasters. It is a trust that has been lost and may never be recovered.

Can't watch their news programs, they are untrustworthy and just feed us the government line.

Not 'getting' but 'got'. And it's mainly which has always been cosily Tory but has been subjected to Total Murdoch-isation (TM) via personnel and leadership osmosis over the past decade. My intake is now Radio 6 only, hitting the mute button every hour to avoid the news

I got "fed-up" with the BBC over a decade ago. It has become a State propaganda broadcast service. The Tories use it to sell their lies.

I've been fed up and disgusted with it for a very long time It's no longer impartial and the news section is unfit for purpose. What the BBC doesn't mention is always a cause for concern

The Government transferred collection of the Licence Fee collection to the BBC. Over 75s free licences were set up by Gordon Brown paid by the Social Security budget. The current Government transferred that cost to the BBC which it knew it could not afford to swallow.

I've stopped watching any news or current affairs on BBC. The content is undiluted Downing Street lies. I watch entertainment because , at the age of 92 I've resumed paying for it.

BBC News is where you go when you don't want to know anything that's critically important and need reassurance that nothing's changed.

Yes especially the news, it’s a disgrace. Basically we are being asked to pay for a biased news outlet.

Sadly, I am and I worked for them. I really have to search these days. New D.G. is a Boris admirer alas and a staunch Conservative who went to the brother school of the school I went to which is also v Conservative. Can fail the entrance exam but if parents are wealthy, accepted

You're twenty years late to this party. 😉Guessing you have Radio 4 on as aural wallpaper? Today and PM every day? Watch BBC news? Have done for years/decades ? Congratulations you may be coming round from your North Korean experience. 😉 And it is absolutely comparable.

A compliant and complicit media pushing the Tory regime's lies. And omission of information strongly suggests complicity. It's coordinated and it's dangerous. The BBC as a news organisation has fallen..
