Abbey Manor College is a high-performing Pupil Referral Unit Based in the London Borough of Lewisham. The college educates young people who have either been permanently excluded or are on the verge of permanent exclusion.

The College wishes to recruit a Health and Social Care professional to work with some of our most vulnerable students and families. You will support the College vision to provide an outstanding education to some of the boroughs most disenfranchised young people

Our students have experienced difficulties in mainstream schools and often have behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. They can also be challenging and volatile.

You will be responsible for providing an accountable statutory Health & Social Care service to young people from Abbey Manor College and their families/carers, to include; assessment, intervention, case planning and review.

You will deliver a high quality and innovative service that will enrich and support the most vulnerable children in the borough, be relentlessly optimistic and determined to use your skills and expertise to elevate students so that they have good mental health and are clear that they can and will succeed in the future. 

The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker, Nurse or Healthcare Professional responsible for establishing and maintaining highly positive working relationships with a range of other professionals and agencies, as well as with children and young people and their parents/carers. Experience in a similar role is essential and we welcome applications from anyone who has demonstrable experience of working with families in a similar capacity.
