The organisers of Kalbeliya World said very few Indians join their classes. Its mostly supported by enthusiasts from South America, US, Europe, Japan and Africa. They would really love more Indian faces. The women are amazing. They have a lot on their shoulders. (3/n)

There are many small initiatives which happen over Zoom, Google Meets, etc. Many of these performers live and breathe their art, but don't have the presence online. Many come from rural areas where network and other infra constraints prevent them from performing online...(10/)

Its easy for us to tell rural artists to be entrepreneurs. Its 1000X harder for them to provide successful digital/tech offerings like Bollywood, contemporary or even mainstream classical performers can at least hope to do. (11/n)
