    I feel like any competent reporting on this story would emphasize that this was a thing neuroscientists were doing routinely at least 15 years ago

    I am really sick of people who went to NYU, Stanford and so on explaining how you don’t need an exclusive college to be successful. Ofc you don’t! But those colleges should not be filled only with legacies and rich kids with interesting summer jobs.

    I'm not so much worried about overheating the economy as I am about blowing out the transmission. The transmission can cost a lot of money to replace and when that blows out sometimes the economy is totaled and you have to buy a new one

    I am known as a dove. I believe that the absolute priority is to protect people and firms affected by covid. Still, I agree with Summers. The 1.9 trillion program could overheat the economy so badly as to be counterproductive. Protection can be achieved with less.
