The global launch follows something of a warm-up for “Cribs” in the last year. Snapchat also rebooted the format in the U.S. for a short-form series back in 2017.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus Series to Begin Filming in March, Says Ewan McGregor
Ewan McGregor will soon be donning Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi robes once again.

During a Zoom appearance on the BBC’s “The Graham Norton Show” Friday night, McGregor revealed that Disney Plus’ untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series is finally set to begin filming in March of 2021.

“It’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi story, I suppose. It’s not all me, but it certainly will be a lot of me, which is good,” McGregor said of the show. “We start shooting it in March next year.”

Insecure” star Nastasha Rothwell and Aziza Barnes have teamed to develop a series based on the Ibi Zoboi novel “Pride” at HBO, Variety has learned.

Pride” is described as a Haitian-Dominican coming of age story explores young love, teenage angst, and gentrification through magical realism fated by the gods of Santeria with an Austenian twist.

Rothwell and Barnes both worked on the story for the project, while Barnes will be the writer. Both will serve as executive producers. Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment will also executive produce. Alloy Entertainment will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

CBS has released teasers for the nine returning shows that now have November season premiere dates.

That includes the network’s No. 2 comedy, Mom, which will enter Season 8 without original co-lead Anna Faris. (At the time it was announced that Faris had exited the series to pursue other opportunities, it was made clear that the role of Christy will not be recast. Rather, her absence will be addressed in a Season 8 storyline.)

TV Ratings: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Tops Monday, ‘One Day at a Time’ Starts Small
A highly competitive Monday night ratings race was narrowly won by ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” as “One Day at a Time” went low with its broadcast debut.

Dancing With the Stars” came in even on last week with a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 last night, drawing around 6.1 million total viewers in the process. “Emergency Call,” the new docu-series hosted by Luke Wilson, ticked down for the second week straight to a 0.4 rating and just under 3 million total viewers.

Big Brother” also delivered a 0.9 rating and 3.9 million viewers for CBS, which represents the same rating and a 15% audience bump from last Monday night.
