Meeting HH was a spiritual, life-changing experience. I was able to be by his side for 1 ½ hours, listening to him counsel 300 people who were in line. He really cared for all. I learned of his true compassion and greatness and realized he is “pure good”

Western businesses have a moral responsibility to exit from Xinjiang and consumers have to stop puchasing goods from these companies until they do so. To make matters worse, China's government is now turning Tibetans into slave labor:

Apparently having a Chinese company own 100% of TikTok is a national security threat, but having them own only 80% of TikTok while still controlling the algorithm is just fine.

It is shocking to see the extent to which China is going to suppress a peaceful, subjugated, population... in the United States.

FB claims it will leave the EU if regulation effort continues. Sounds like a great deal for the EU. Call the bluff, EU!

The Risk Makers: inside the tech industry’s decades-long failure to reckon with risk. and I co-authored this piece about the science of risk - the core of understanding disinformation, social contagion, viral hate, and more. It's not pretty.

If US government was concerned about foreign influence on US culture and theft of information that TikTok enables, it should have been bold enough to ban all Chinese spyware as India did. The half-baked Oracle solution won't fix any of these problems; will only create new ones

I agree the Chinese have robbed us blind. But this deal will not achieve the objectives and will backfire. See my last tweet about how the Chinese are gloating about it and saying it is a model for other countries to restrict US technologies.

Ultimate irony. I now have Trump supporters accusing me of being pro-China because I RTed an article saying the TikTok deal was bad and the US is bleeding competitiveness because of flawed immigration policies originiating from the times of Bush and Obama.
