"The NLRB announced employers will no longer be restrained from disciplining or discharging stewards or officers who use profanity or engage in other “abusive” actions in violation of an employer’s enforced code of conduct. The decision upends the special legal protections enjoyed by union grievance handlers for the past 70 years."

The Election Supervisor has busted a Business Agent and Chief Shop Steward for teaming up with UPS management to threaten OZ-Teamsters United campaigners in Miami Local 769, the home local of Hoffa-Vairma candidate Josh Zivalich.

Teamster volunteers collected more than 100,000 petition signatures to officially accredit the OZ-Teamsters United Slate. Now, we’re gearing up to elect delegates to the Teamster Convention to stand up against Hoffa-Vairma and contract givebacks. 

Teamster activists held a national Zoom call on Sunday to celebrate the end of the accreditation petition drive and to discuss the next steps for winning new leadership and new direction in our International Union.
