FRSO 6th Congress Resolution: Support Palestinian Liberation

The following resolution is from the 6th Congress of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization, which took place in May 2010.

Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) supports the Palestinian people and their resistance against Israel’s criminal theft of Palestinian lands, expulsion of the Palestinian people, undermining of Palestinian rights, and brutal assault and siege on Gaza.  The steadfast people of Palestine have struggled for many decades for self-determination and independence, especially since the founding of the state of “Israel” on May 14, 1948, when over 750,000 Palestinians were forced off their lands in what the Palestinians call Al-Nakba (the Catastrophe).

PFLP Political Bureau calls for October mobilization for Comrade Sa’adat

The Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement on July 18, 2010, calling for the broadest expression of solidarity and support for Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the General Secretary of the PFLP, in mid-October 2010, when his continued isolation in the jails of the occupation will again come before the court.

Comrade Sa’adat: End occupation in all of historic Palestine

The following is from the website of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:

Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, denounced any negotiations with the occupation, saying that “the solution to the critical historical conflict in the Middle East will only be the establishment of one state on the entire Palestinian national soil, from river to sea, with full equality for all.”

Comrade Sa’adat transferred to Eshel prison as PFLP calls for prisoners’ freedom

Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, the imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was once again moved from one prison to another, this time to the isolation unit at Eshel prison from the isolation unit in Ramon prison. The PFLP immediately condemned this action as part of an ongoing, and failed, attempt to undermine the morale and steadfastness of Comrade Sa’adat and his fellow Palestinian prisoners.

The PFLP statement, issued on February 16, 2010, said that these arbitrary measures fall within the context of an official policy of pressure, attempted intimidation and reprisals against Comrade Sa’adat that has continued since the moment of his abduction from Jericho prison through his continued forced isolation.

On the eighth anniversary of the kidnapping of Comrade Sa’adat, PFLP condemns PA security cooperation with occupier

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine denounced the Palestinian Authority and its security forces for the kidnapping of its General Secretary, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat on January 15, 2002, on the eighth anniversary of that plot to arrest Comrade Sa’adat at the behest of the occupation. On January 13, 2010, the PFLP called upon all to learn from the lessons and experiences of relying on U.S. and Israeli promises and warned against tampering with the Palestinian home front with schemes of security cooperaiton that only serve the occupation and its goals of liquidating proven and reliable national leadership.

Comrade Sa’adat calls for a new year of struggle, unity and resistance

The imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Comrade Ahmad Sa’adat, sent greetings to our people marking the new year and the Christmas holidays, saying that the new year, 2010, can be a year to restore the unity of our Palestinian people, break the siege on our heroic people in Gaza, and bring the occupation war criminals to trial before international courts. He called for the new year to be a year of our inalienable right to resist, to drive occupation and settlement from our land, of the liberation of prisoners, of independence, self-determination and Jerusalem as our capital, and the right of refugees to return to their homes from which they were displaced.

A rally in Ezbet Abed Rabbo, one of the most devastated areas in last year’s Zionist assault on Gaza, organized by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine marked the one-year anniversary of the aggression on December 25, 2009. Thousands of residents of Abed Rabbo and members and supporters of the PFLP rallied in the village, amid the ruins of destroyed homes, waving Palestinian flags and PFLP banners.

PFLP statement on 42nd anniversary: Time for a new political era of resistance and national liberation

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine stands today, 42 years from its founding on December 11, 1967. The PFLP was founded in response to the defeat of regimes and ideologies in the June 1967 war, and took action to initiate resistance in all forms on a strategic, long-term basis, mobilize the masses of the Palestinian Arab people to fight, neutralize the technological advantage of the occupation war machines through lightning attacks, and defeat the enemy and the entire Zionist and imperialist colonial scheme.

Looking at the anniversary of the founding of our Front, it was a culmination of the historic experience of our people throughout generations of confrontation of successive colonialist and Zionist attacks. It was an extension of this existing struggle and a quantitatively new expression that transformed and upgraded the movement, intellectually, politically and organizationally, growing from the glorious experience of the Arab Nationalist Movement, led by the founder of the ANM and the PFLP, Comrade Dr. George Habash.
