Frank Rosengarten
Frank Rosengarten, one of the founding editors of S&D, died in August, 2014. His memoir, Through Partisan Eyes, appeared shortly before his death. His role in launching our journal and in guiding it through its early years cannot be quickly described. We plan to devote a portion of the July 2015 issue to honoring his contribution, both to our own work and to left scholarship more broadly. He remained an active member of our editorial board until the end of his life, and was a valued source of encouragement to me personally. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
