When I visited this space for the first time, I got to work the whole day next to nearly my entire design team from 5 years ago. It was really special, and made me realize how meaningful those friendships are and how much we need that community right now. Huge recommend

Now say you need $100K soon, and you can take out debt or sell equities in the market. If you take the debt, & the equities rise 3% (conservatively) every year on average for 10 years... that $100K in debt netted you 2% annually compared to just using cash today.

Assume inflation devalues the dollar 2% yearly (I predict worse) By that rate, $100K cash today is like having ~$120K in 10 years. If you have $100K in debt at a fixed 3% rate, that debt gets 2% cheaper every year. Not bad, but...

Its awesome to see designers get so financially curious and explore startup equity, crypto, stocks… but, I wish more understood why good debt is going to be so critical in the next 10 years.

We have “pulse” surveys at companies, designed to measure some happiness, but they feel so diffuse and too generalized. Opening up in 1:1s can feel like a drive-by because they’re so short. It’s be really interesting for managers to conduct really thorough interviews.

When reading this, I realized a time I really enjoyed at work recently was when someone interviewed me about my workflow. I was so delighted to share my problems and have someone totally listen. I feel like we should do more deep research like this on each other
