Support New York
As part of the Festival, The New Yorker has made a donation to the New York Community Trust Emergency Fund. We encourage you to find out more about the Trust, and how you can help, at the link below.
The New York Community Trust Emergency Fund was created to quickly and effectively address the wide-ranging impact of the coronavirus pandemic. The Emergency Fund makes grants to key nonprofits that are helping the city recover. Examples of grant recipients’ initiatives include: developing online learning tools for public-school students, enabling medical professionals to provide health care in new ways, and expanding the city’s capacity to feed the hungry.
The Emergency Fund is the latest initiative from the New York Community Trust, which has benefitted from the generosity of New Yorkers since 1924, improving the quality of life for all, particularly the most vulnerable. Through the strength of its community of donors, the Trust has responded quickly to moments of crisis and has worked patiently for systemic reforms over the years.
