    Scott Morrison had a choice when he wrote to the Fair Work Commission yesterday. Instead of supporting our case for a 5% pay rise, his government argued that workers in disability, and dozens of other industries, should be as low-paid as possible.

    👏👏👏 Today, ASU members, Lilly and Harvey and Adele joined calling for a 5% increase in National Wage Case. They have called for a real wage rise of 5% to address the rising cost of living and stagnant wage growth of the last 8 years under Morrison.

    The ACTU will call for a 5% pay increase for 2.6 million workers in the Annual Wage Review. If Scott Morrison truly cared about cost of living pressures facing workers he'd support our claim. You can't fix the cost of living crisis without lifting wages.

    Today we will argue for a 5% increase in the minimum wage. If Scott Morrison was serious about supporting wage increases he would agree with us. One off payments don’t lift wages.

    Yesterday I asked Human Services Minister whether supports development of a portable long service scheme for the community services sector & was told best to ask you . Any plans if your party is re-elected as SA's next government?

    We already knew the SA Govt had one rule for them and another for workers… but it’s a bit of a shock even for me to see this approach when it applies to even even their own staffers.

    The ASU has written to the South Australian Parliament asking why politicians are being provided free rapid antigen tests + K95 masks while their staff and other workers in parliament go without. All workers deserve a safe workplace and free access to RATs and PPE.
