WBAI Seeks Part Time Program Host

Monday-Friday 7-8 AM

Salary $28,800 yearly

Responsibilities:

Works with Program Director to produce a daily Monday-Friday morning drive program uniquely articulating a progressive perspective on local, state, national and international news. Must adhere to strict FCC, Pacifica and WBAI policy. Contributes to the development and adherence to a program clock and format.

Qualifications:

Excellent written, verbal communication and production skills. Highly favorable candidates will have at least five years of broadcast hosting experience. Must be able to demonstrate strong current social, political and cultural acumen. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally in a multi-cultural environment. Strong community engagement and social media skills are highly desired. Fluency in digital editing or willingness to learn.

WBAI Seeks Part Time Program Associate Producer

Monday-Friday 6:40-8 AM

Salary $75 per show

Start: January 7, 2019

Responsibilities:

Works on the production of the Monday-Friday morning drive program. Assists in developing program segments, doing research, booking guests, posting of upcoming program information, doing social networking, and archiving of shows.

Qualifications:

Excellent written, verbal communication and production skills with experience working cooperatively and professionally in a multi-cultural environment. Strong community engagement and social media skills are highly desired. Fluency in digital editing and graphics software.

Business Manager and Record-Keeper for Pacifica Radio Affiliate Network

Working under the supervision of Pacifica affiliates manager, the part-time Business Manager keeps records, manages billing, reports payments, helps with issuing contracts, and assists with other tasks pertaining to managing business relations with approximately 200 affiliate clients.

8 hours / week, $18 /hour.

Office in Ames, Iowa; ability to work in the office preferred.

Bookkeeping experience preferred.
