The prison workers’ snap strike in response to the Newman Budget should be a clear signal to all workers about how to fight back. Strike. Join the rally on Wednesday and fight, fight, fight. Strike together, stay out indefinitely and close Queensland down until Campbell Newman surrenders.

As the revolutions across the Arab world show, ordinary people have to seize their future. We can begin by arguing in our unions for real action on climate change that makes the bosses pay for their pollution and moves us to a renewable energy economy by 2020.

So let’s look at Labor’s record. Warmongers in favour of imperialism and Zionist ethnic cleansing. Pro-boss, anti-worker. Anti-equal pay. Anti-equal love. Racists. Homophobes. Sexists.

And they are the moderates? Give me a dose of extremism any day.

The battle against injustice is universal. In Australia it is the struggle against our own rulers and the injustices they perpetrate and perpetuate here and overseas. More power to the left of the Greens in their battles for justice, not just for Palestinians but for Australians too.
