Why?

Why?
It is not the dark that threatens
But the light
It is midnight morning time
That gathers reason beyond imagination
That rides the train to backwardness
We must all fear
And in that journey we cannot see
The place is past and the world runs round
Where other people walk their lives
Leashed thinking unbound
Till the smell of others catches sight
And in our passage we praise the night
So join the queue of washing up
Of gentle people and genteel cups
Of tea and twitters
And anything that sets the beast astray
To find its way home far too soon
Where lives the yellow place,
The sky, the moon and face the truth
Shrouded in the blanket lies
Catch caught among the football joys
The noise abates and waits
Curled cute upon the traps
Sat awry until the mats begin
Their cry
Why?
