My apologies. My assertion of 72 percent of the vote for Hamas in the 2006 elections is wrong. I think my memory confused the number of Hamas seats (74) with the percentage of the vote. Hamas won 44.5 per cent of the vote, and a bit over 54 per cent of the seats. Fatah won […]
