Based in Bath, the company was formed in January 2003 by Richard Boniface, BA(Hons), DPM, Chartered MCIPD, who has over 27 years of Human Resources and management experience. Richard has enjoyed significant success since forming the consultancy, with all work to date (bar two exceptions) coming from repeat business or word of mouth recommendation; which is a testament to the quality of the work and the trust and rapport built with clients.

Main work undertaken is generally as follows:

• HR, management and leadership advice, normally via phone, to regular on-going clients re informal & formal staffing problems. Guidance is given taking into account employment law, best practice and the desired staff-management culture of the client. Support often includes the drafting of letters and  ‘scripts’.
• Change management/redundancy & redeployment advice & Lead (incl. TUPE)
• Investigations (normally into allegations concerning CEOs, directors and other senior leaders)
• Service reviews (e.g. into why a business has such a high level of sickness and turnover)
• HR policy & procedure and Staff Handbook development
• Training re leadership and managing staffing issues

The company’s regular on-going clients are all SMEs but Richard also regularly undertakes one-off type pieces of work (such as sensitive investigations or TUPE transfers) for a variety of private and public sector organisations (especially NHS Trusts, as much of Richard’s pre-consultancy employment was within the NHS).   Most of the on-going SME clients are based in Bath, Bristol, Somerset and Wiltshire, with a couple in London.

Richard offers a highly professional service tailored to the needs and desired staff-management culture of the client. Richard always undertakes the work himself but will call upon one of a selection of quality associate consultants to work alongside him if required and agreed with the client (e.g. for certain harassment investigations).

Clients do not pay any form of retainer but simply pay for those minutes of work undertaken or, as appropriate, the agreed fee for a particular piece of work.
