    Sports media in Australia has taken a real hit this year. Today at Metricon Stadium I was the only journo at the ground to cover the match between Port and GWS. As I leave the stadium there is now not one journalist present for Blues v Bulldogs which starts in an hour. 😔

    I know I’m late to the party here, but Australian Rules Football is simply phenomenal. Caught the second half of an epic comeback by the Fremantle Dockers over the Saints of St. Kilda with my dad, and what a treat. The rules, the refs, the absolute chaos. Just awesome.

    Unpopular opinion The action of Dylan Shiel's hit on Curtis Taylor was worse than Ben Long's hit on Sean Darcy. He braced for contact and went at Taylor. Long jumped in front of Darcy and got him with his torso. Again, the looking at the outcome instead of the action

    I put this here as a public record of my opinion: Changing the ruck rules were the most damaging factor in the current ‘state of the game’. Change it back. No more nominations. No more waiting. Just throw it up. Just throw it in.
