PACIFICA RADIO'S COVID, RACE & DEMOCRACY PRESENTED BY WBAI RADIO

Covid, Race and Democracy -- a collective effort from the Pacifica Network and our affiliates across the U.S. Today’s edition is presented by Pacifica Radio’s WBAI in New York. In it we'll hear pushback from vulnerable members of our society who are disproportionately affected by Covid-19, including activists on a hunger strike and tenants fighting back against real estate interests. We'll also hear the NYPD commissioner's public testimony about violent police behavior during protests, comments by Dr. Anthony Fauci on the resurgence of the virus and racism as a contributing factor, a reading of the names of those who lost their lives to police brutality, Michio Kaku on the science of Covid-19 and more.

Our host is Gloria J. Browne Marshall and the program is produced by WBAI programmers on New York's listener-sponsored, non-commercial radio station, which streams at wbai.org.
