    actually let me just get this out of the way. Overall, the broad points we made (largely ignored in this response) are: 1) the racial capitalism argument that racism plays a *functional* role in capitalism 2) not all hypotheticals are relevant 1/18

    Michael Walzer wrote a piece critiquing the idea of racial capitalism. It wasn't very good. So Femi and I wrote a response, basically just to familiarise people with what the idea really concerns. It also previews some other stuff we have in the works.
