'He once got stuck on Danish girls' - RIP Brian Frank Harding

Very sad to learn of Brian's passing in late January. I initially got to know him towards the end of the nineties, via the discussion boards on Trouser Press, where as a dedicated flag-waver for his brother Richard's former band, Brian wcould enthusiastically engage with the fans who were congregating there. Over the years since, Brian proved pivotal in keeping the DoM fires burning, and became a true friend to many of us who came to know and enjoy his congeniality, humour (which he retained to the end), and his insightful anecdotes on musical and cultural history. Condolences to his family and loved ones, and thanks for everything, Brian. We miss you.

Remembering Colin 'Stoner' Bentley

It was great sadness that we learned of Colin's passing in November 2014. In Richard's words: "RIP Stoner. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. So glad we did one last show together last month. You really were the best, and your contribution to The Doctors was immeasurable and defined our sound. Good night, sweet prince, And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest! The Rest Is Silence". Lauren Bentley has kindly got in touch and contributed some touching words in memory of her father which can be viewed here. Urban has also forwarded me some words on Colin. I'm hoping to assemble some further testimonials to Stoner over the next months from anyone who'd like to contribute, whether fans or fellow bandmates. Please get in touch if you'd like to contribute.
