Amazing Kalyani(Temple tank) at Hulikere near Halebidu(Karnataka) Dated: ~12th century CE Note the details of aedicula. Fractal pattern is obvious.

Stepped pond of Sun temple, Modhera Dated: ~11th century CE This huge pond measures 53.6*36.6m². This pond is geometrically more complex for it utilized fractal pattern. Note ornately carved Shikhara. Imagine the beauty of sight with exquisite temples reflected in Kunda!

One more from same SuryaKunda, Sun Temple, Modhera(Gujrat) Dated: ~11th century CE Note the scale of construction! This temple is result of perfection in geometry and astronomy. Sun rays illuminate the sanctum on the days of equinoxes.

Mask of Bhairava, Kashmir Dated: ~6-7th century CE The small fangs seen rising from the corners of the open mouth and the exposed upper teeth identify this deity as Bhairava, a wrathful form of Shiva. Such masks were employed as temporary fixtures during worship. @/Met

1)Sculpture of Shri Vishnu from Pala period This sculpture is carved within a 'pointed arch' framework or aureole which is quite contrary to Fergusson's remark "Hindoos hated to use arch".

1)Thread: Interior of Bamiyan cave temple, Bamyan Dated: ~4-5th century CE or older Cave temple is hexagonal in plan and direct imitation of prevalent lithic architecture of Gandhara region. It's dome is supported on arches and squinches of Gandharan style

Panoramic view of Rani ki Vav(stepwell/temple), Gujrat Dated: ~11th century CE This magnificent subterranean monument was silted until its excavation in late 80s. This marvellous east facing step well measures approximately 64*20*30m³.

Details of parapet from Mala Devi Temple, Gyraspur (MP) Dated: ~9th century CE Columns, part of screen show certain resemblance to the stone screen used in temples of Angkor. Decorative relief is also similar to pattern used in temples of Angkor which is quite interesting.

After years of neglect, the state archaeology dept. may take up a proposal for the protection of heritage temples at Zawar near Udaipur. Carbon-14 dating has revealed Zawar mines are 'the earliest zinc mines in the world' operating as early as ~500BCE.

Photograph of the upper storey of a banya's house at Patan in Gujarat, taken by Henry Cousens in the 1880s See elaborately carved cornices adorned with Loshtha pattern. Note exquisite Jali work and floral work on doors. Today we don't see it anymore.
