Sales and Marketing Manager – New Internationalist

We are recruiting a Sales and Marketing Manager with responsibility for managing and building the New Internationalist’s successful list of publications, particularly its calendars and diaries.

In this role, you will be working with partners such as Amnesty, Traidcraft and La Cimade – and also actively looking to build new partners and relationships in the charity and NGO sectors.

You will also be responsible for managing domestic and international sales systems, working with our distributors and maintaining trade databases (such as Nielsen) and also organizing shipments of books to festivals, shops, distributors and partner publishers in the UK and worldwide.

As Sales and Marketing Manager, you will also be working closely with the team at Myriad Editions – NI’s trade books imprint.

You will be efficient, confident and ambitious, with at least two years of publishing experience and the ability to juggle several high-level tasks at once. You will also be a highly skilled, accurate and effective communicator who is not afraid of shouldering responsibility.

Lastly, you will relish working for, and share the same values as, a socially progressive publishing company.

This role is full-time and based in Oxford at least two days a week (but we are open to flexible/some remote working). It will initially be a one-year contract with the view of becoming a permanent, co-director position.
