Absolutely over the moon to hear that Pendles has won the Best Captain award as voted by the AFLPA. A deserving award for a man who continues to lead by example not just for his teammates but for the entire football club. Well done Pendles 👏🏻 💪🏻

This week marked a significant milestone for captain , becoming the games record holder for the club, so it’s fitting that he has been recognised by his peers as the ’ Best Captain, presented by The Diamond Guys ✍️:

To be fair some super players who’ve had a good year vying for similar spots. Moore will be challenged with weitering. Understandable, 2 really good young players who play a similar role with similar attributes. Adams should be really proud to be in the 40. Maynard most likely.

Darcy Moore, Brayden Maynard, Taylor Adams and Scott Pendlebury made the All Australian squad of 40. Congratulations to all these boys on their efforts in 2020. Who makes the 22?

Why can’t the team fly to Perth a couple of days before the game and isolate now like a normal interstate game. It’s absolutely ludicrous that with the WA rules that they are playing a final there. Don’t forget Wet Toast are also coming off a 5 day longer break.

D-Watched every game and can honestly say I did not enjoy watching us play this year. Our game plan was about containment(slow ball movement)rather than be aggressive and kick goals. Lots of players had down year. A few new ideas read.

Loving the podcast boys! Skill level is terrible. Cost us time and time again this year from poor turnovers. Also the forward press might need a rethink. Forwards have little chance when F50 has 20 players in it.

Is our team just immersed in bad luck? Think about it. Since 1958 a 7% success rate in GFs. No other big club on planet with that %. Lots of reasons... v carlton out of bounds. Carmen suspended, rocca goal, sheed fluke... are we just stuck with unlucky

Overall a B mark considering our injury list at crucial times, & our schedule. We still have an opportunity to take it all, I still believe our best is good enough. Go Pies, get those Eagles & shake this final series up.

H- for stop handballing so much, other areas include the lack of a key forward or targets Watching Daicos and IQ though develop was so special and they both had great years. Hoping we are due for a win and get pull something out of the bag against the eagles, but no high hopes

Negative is our lack of dare & willingness to kick it into our F50. I’d rather the forwards get an opportunity to kick a goal & make a mistake, instead we stuff around with the ball in the wing & flanks & turn it over there, so our forwards don’t even get an opportunity to score.

Absolutely loved watching Maynard, IQ & Nobles’ development they have been so consistent & more importantly, composed, for their age & experience.
