Bookogs is a community-built database of books and magazines. While there are many great existing online databases focusing on novels, non-fiction works, poetry, and magazines, Bookogs is the only database focusing on physical releases of books and the various editions that are released over time and geographies.
By adding your books and magazines to the database, you’re helping to solidify the history of literature and physical releases, and in turn creating an invaluable resource for generations of readers, book-lovers and collectors to come.
Bookogs' goal is to do for books what Discogs has done for music releases; that is create a comprehensive archive of as many physical books releases as possible, build a large network of book-lovers, collectors and experts, and a convenient marketplace for buying and selling books online. While Bookogs is still in its early phases and requires a lot more data before it matches Discogs as a resource for books, we hope to see Bookogs become the authority on physical book releases.

Bookogs in its current state is a good representation of the early years of Discogs. By getting started with Bookogs now and contributing to the database and building the marketplace, you could one day righteously claim to have been here from the beginning.
The main purpose is to set-up the largest and most comprehensive book database on the internet. The first book submitted by staff was The Descent Of Alette. This site was available for users in early 2015. Publications such as paperbacks, magazines, ebooks, fanzines, journals, and many others are allowed.
