VA - a wicked good time! the modern method comp LP 81

A cool compilation with most bands you may not have heard of except the Outlets maybe:  Pastiche, Future Dads, Boys Life, Swingers Resort, Young Snakes, Vacuumheads, La Peste, Suade Cowboys, Bound and Gagged, Someone and the Somebodies (have posted their EP), Bird Songs Of The Mesozoic and The Loners.         https://www8.zippyshare.com/v/0rRL5xu0/file.html

IMMACULATE FOOLS - Dumb Poet LP 87

REPOST Request:
I have a lead on more by this band with a new Soul blog here:  http://soul-quinquin.eklablog.com/ his soul collection simply blew me away!  I am very glad to see it as I didn't think these vinyl were available anywhere???  Good on you Sir for giving a little back of our American culture and yes if you didn't know about a cure for Covid19 and a NY doctor with 100% cure rate described several month ago on my internet Doctor Mercola then you deserve to sink into your own news.

GUNSMOKE'S FESTUS - Sings'n Talks 'bout Dodge City'n Stuff LP

Well my Grandpa the old farm to farm button salesman (R.I.P.) used to say this was his favorite show.  So one of the many times on a very long stretch in between jobs--at high noon--I would watch the reruns (yes I had severe sleep apnea waking 100 times/hour and would sleep all morning until this show came on) so I got to see most of the shows as it became a favorite of mine.  So I really dig this! Now I wake at the same time each morning and could never sleep in that late.

I START COUNTING - Letters To Friend EP 84 w Still Smiling EP 85 w Catch That Look EP 86

REPOST and ADD ON:  I added the top EP which is very good.  Thanks to Colin at the old Vatican store who turned me onto this band.  Go see him at Rocketstar records in their new location in Sarasota, FL on Bee Ridge off the Tamiami on the North side of street before Lime.

FOREVER MORE - Yours Forever More LP 70 w Words On Black Plastic LP 70

REPOST and ADD ON: Well got that straightened out.  I had posted the black album getting the band and title reversed a couple weeks ago and then learned from the comment it was basically all of the Average White Band doing prog.  I do agree the first one in red I just added is the best.

KING CURTIS - Everybody's Talkin' LP 72 w The Best Of LP w w Champion Jack Dupree Blues At Montreux LP

Well the 'keeper' for me of these three was the bottom regular studio release featuring his all-time classic song 'Groove Me' and one of the few he wrote.  I first heard it on one the old Atlantic Rhythm and Blues sampler compilations right before another classic by Les McCann and Eddie Harris called 'Compared To What' with some great shouting and swears.  I will post that soon.

JOSIE COTTON - Johnny Are You Queer? EP 81 w Convertible Music LP 82 w From The Hip LP 84

REPOST Request:  Josie got her start as back-up singer for GEZA-X who produces on these early vinyl.  She just released a great album but I feel sorry it is during this time.  Check out her cool recent material on youtube and pick it up, yoh!   https://www8.zippyshare.com/v/i188y9YY/file.html

STARVATION ARMY - Ticket To Oblivion EP w Execution Style LP 90 w Mercenary Position LP 91

Keith Carradine - I'm Easy LP 76 w Lost And Found LP 78

REPOST Request:  What I wrote before:  Originally got the first one as I was making my mom a mix since "I'm Easy' is her favorite song (NO! not the Lionel Richie ear-worm song about Sunday Morning).  The rest of the songs are actually pretty good.  https://www8.zippyshare.com/v/2zfrfzvf/file.html

VA - NORWOOD OST LP - Glen Campbell

You just don't see as many of these underground country music movie soundtracks from the seventies and this one is pretty good with Glen Campbell singing on non-instrumental tracks.  Good Will find.

ROGER MILLER - King Of The Road LP 65

A great find after posting not one but two of his hits last week on the 'Take Me Home Country Roads' vinyl boxset I had got at Good Will just like this later that day.  I like his 'Do-Wack A-Do' song also on the compilation like the title song that has been more than a few earlier posted compilations.

Norma Jean - The Country's Favorite LP

I knew I liked her from earlier compilations I had posted and then seeing her on the 'Take Me Home Country Roads' vinyl boxset got me to pick this up next day at the Good Will and what do you know, she did the original 'Why Don't You Love Me' that one of my old favorite bands the Red Hot Chili Peppers covered!!!  Thus I made it a keeper.

JOHNNY LEE - Bet Your Heart On Me LP 81

I got this last week at the Good Will because I knew I liked him from an earlier compilation.

George Hamilton IV - Canadian Pacific LP

Posting some of the vinyl I found day of posting the 'Take Me Home Country Roads' vinyl boxset rip from last week.  Yeah, I think those Good Will Bucket Store sorters got my number and don't want to see any of this stuff go overseas either like me.

MELBA MONTGOMERY - I Can't Get Used To Being Lonely LP

Now I know she was on the 'Take Me Home Country Roads' vinyl boxset rip from last week because I remembered the name when I saw it in the Good Will later that day.

TANYA TUCKER - What's Your Mama's Name LP 73

LYNN ANDERSON - Rose Garden LP w What A Man My Man Is LP 74

She was featured on the 'Take Me Home Country Roads' vinyl boxset rip from last week....found in the same Good Will.      Gofile is having errors so I think it's Zippyshare from here on up!

SNFU - And No One Else Wanted To Play CD 84 w If You Swear You'll Catch No Fish CD 86 w Better Than A Stick In The Eye CD 88 w The Last Of The Big Time Suspenders CD 91 w Watering Hole 7 93

REPOST:  O.K. catching up on tragic deaths from last week and here we have Mr. Chi Pig the singer who died.  Since SNFU was just over the border from our MN scene I did get to see them play a couple few times--one time Mr. Chi Pig sang while hanging like a monkey from the ceiling over the crowd.  Always a great show and the 86 album is one of my top ten favorites.  I grew up just having the first two on cassette (good sign as I wore my walkman during exercise and school so only the best on cassette!!)  The others on CD I got here so thanks to Mark Underground for posting them and I ripped the later 7 inch which I still have and listened to last night and got choked up with the A-side 'Beautiful Unlike You and I'....maybe a good song to hear right away. R.I.P. to a Master!

Also going to post this about Terry Katzman, an old owner operator of the Garage D'Or record store next to Twin Tone studios where I got to know him during college.  He died earlier this year...R.I.P.
