    Let's breath tonight but look the "third round" of the presidential election will occur on 12 & 19 June 2022 with the legislative elections. Macron will have to obtain de majority at the National Assembly to be able to govern.

    Remarkable achievement. Macron the first president to win reelection while in control of the government since de Gaulle in 1965. Emphatic rejection of Brexitism/right wing populism. Good news for France and Europe.

    Or Putin’s health.

    So it seems Putin didn't attend Easter services. Instead, pre-recorded footage of him in an empty church (from 2021?) was added to the actual service, and this was then broadcast as if real. This doesn't feel like a dictator who's confident in his security, or his overall rule.

    Agree. C’mon Stephen, you can be funnier.

    I love as much as the next guy, but I cannot bear when he makes easy, stupid jokes about Biden being old or senile. It's a frivolity we cannot afford. We're in an existential fight for our democracy. These jokes feed the Right and normalize their lies.

    Russia continues to attack the Azovstal plant. In this video, you can see the children who, according to the Russians, are not there. They need a humanitarian corridor. I'm interested, will the world only watch this tragedy, or will the UN and the ICRC do at least something?

    At boarding school in 1967 my duty as Head Boy was to wake everyone up by ringing the bell in the courtyard of the Blackhall Place school every morning at 715am. I can’t recall how I woke up!

    We wonder who the last knocker-upper was…and his last customer.

    About 500 000 of Ukrainians were deported to Russia for only 2 months. Some of them are on their way to labour camps like Gulag. Russians want to use them to build new cities in Siberia. Their passports taken away. Some of people managed to escape to the 3rd countries. /1
