    Look forward to being on Morning Joe at 8am with Mark Brzezinski, US ambassador to Poland, & son of Zbig, who in 1989 visited Katyn & said the USSR, not the Nazis, had murdered the 22,000 Polish POWs. Moscow didn't contradict him. Putin now threatening to demolish the memorial.

    Yana is ten. She’s one of four children I have just met in a Ukrainian hospital. A week ago she was in Kramatorsk train station trying to escape the war when it was hit by missiles. She has lost both her legs. And her mother. (At the request of docs we aren’t showing her face)

    This is great: at the Russian Embassy in DC, people projected the Ukrainian flag onto the embassy building. The Russians tried to obscure it with a spotlight. Hilarity ensued.

    Agree, partly because some people stupidly defer to Russian lies.

    The loss of the Moskva is a catastrophic military defeat and humiliation for Russia. It’s the FLAGSHIP of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. Simply extraordinary. I cannot understand why this is not the number one news story across all networks today.

    Sunrise in Kyiv. Ukrainians made it thru the 50th night. Symbolic of the fight: Russian warship Moskva, the most important in its Black Sea fleet and the ship that attacked Snake Island in the early days of Putin’s invasion, was hit by Ukrainian missiles.

    Hear hear! Same point made so well by Eliot Cohen in Victory in Eastern Ukraine will result in more invasions by Russia and China

    The only way out of the war is for Ukraine to succeed in liberating its territory. There is no diplomatic offramp. Nor will sanctions work quick enough. Therefore, short of direct military intervention, the US & NATO need to send all the military equipment Kyiv needs to win.
