The comedy segment is psychic predictions for the new year. Some are from an unnamed tabloid, others from the "NBC psychic". McLean Stevenson first talks about his visit aboard a Canadian Armed Forces submarine. He also recalls being an assistant with Northwestern University's football program, and their lack of success since then. He and Johnny discuss that Stevenson and his wife - who had worked on The Tonight Show - are expecting a child within two weeks. He also talks about New Year's when he was growing up in Indiana.
