Connect Respect training
Local businesses are invited to take part in our free Connect Respect program. The training program helps businesses build their understanding of, and support their response to, homelessness in the city.
Connect Respect was developed by the City of Melbourne and Council to Homeless Persons to address business concern about the impact of rough sleeping and begging on operations, and the safety of staff and customers.
Connect Respect teaches staff and managers how to connect with people experiencing homelessness so that they have the confidence and knowledge to respond in an inclusive and respectful way. The training is tailored specifically for each business and their staff needs.
