I’m a writer, reporter, and editor living in Brooklyn, New York. I’m currently a staff writer at Fortune, where I cover the intersection of entertainment and technology. I also edit the raceAhead newsletter centered on culture and diversity in corporate America. Prior to Fortune, I was a general assignment reporter at Time. My writing has appeared in the New York Times, Travel + Leisure, Newsweek, Spin, Food & Wine, Maxim, Vibe, Mic, Brooklyn Magazine, Money, Inverse, and various other publications. I have spoken about my work on Marketplace and SiriusXM. I was commissioned by Pocket to curate essential writing on racial inequity and injustice in the American city. I take 35mm film photographs in my spare time and you can see those pictures on my Instagram.
