CRFC funds CKUT Growing Indigenous Participation and Content project

CKUT is very pleased to announce it has received for Fall 2019 an important financial contribution from the Community Radio Fund of Canada. This CFRC Radiometres grant of $49,000, was awarded to our project Growing Indigenous Participation and Content, which will focus on increasing the number of Indigenous shows on our programming grid and will also increase Indigenous participation as volunteers and in governance.

The funding will allow us to hire an Indigenous Programming and Outreach coordinator, who will also be involved in “decolonizing” our physical and digital music libraries at the station.

More information on the rest of the CRFC funded projects can be found here.
