Northern Ireland: Belfast to hold Burma solidarity demo on Saturday
Posted: 28 September 2007 Amnesty International calls protest for 'no more bloodshed' in Burma The demonstration, organised by Amnesty International, will give a local focus for the outrage felt by many at the brutal treatment of peaceful protestors by security forces in Rangoon. "This is a chance for people here to join the global call on Burma's military leaders to stop the violence, to end the the human rights abuses. The demonstration will take place at noon on Saturday in front of Belfast City Hall. |
