Independent research commissioned by the ABC has shown that not only was the national broadcaster the most trusted information source but lives were saved as a result of people acting on information the ABC provided.
Among the highlights, Mt Gambier-based Bec Whetham was named Best Rural/Regional Journalist, Joshua Boscaini won the Max Fatchen Award for Best Young Journalist and ABC Radio’s SA and Broken Hill Regional Drive Team took out Best Radio Broadcaster.
The ABC has won two Prix Jeunesse awards at the world’s largest competition for outstanding children’s television, for Hardball and The Unlisted.
