Escalation of political struggle in Belarus in last months in wake of president elections

Belarus. Some of you might have seen Belarus in news on Coronavirus. Dictator Lukashenko didn’t want to move on with quarantine. Instead he was generating ideas to solve the problem with COVID-19. For example, in one of his press conference he suggested that vodka and sauna can save you from the virus. Driving tractor in the field was also one of the options. To show the dedication to the cause of ignoring coronavirus Lukashenko even organized a military parade on 9 May – day of victory in the second world war.

#Olympia, #WA: Mayor’s house vandalized during rowdy anti-cop march

Olympia. WA. The night of June 12, an assortment of black liberation fighters, anarchists, and fellow travelers held a rowdy march against the police and the white supremacist world they maintain in downtown Olympia. In spite of the heavy militia presence tailing the march (30+ chuds from a new crew calling itself “American Wolf” in fluorescent green “peacekeeper” shirts with paint guns, regular guns, zip tie handcuffs; box trucks, and a limo), the march still managed to vandalize the mayor’s house, torch a US flag, bust up a bank and a Starbucks, and spread pro-black liberation and pro-abolition graffiti from downtown to the South Capitol neighborhood. There were no arrests.

Riot Turtle: “Are the remaining antagonistic splinters able to connect with those who are subjected to racial profiling and police brutality on a daily basis?”

I never was an optimist, but the current cycle of revolts is inspiring and even some developments in this country, Germany, have the potential to grow. As a result there might be more antagonistic actions.

Interview: “#CHAZ is here to stay until demands are met by the Mayor of #Seattle”

Author: Katarina Pavičić-Ivelja

Throughout the past weeks, in the midst of Black Lives Matter protests, Seattle has seen violent clashes as the police, and the National Guard attacked protesters in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. However, the clashes seem to have inspired self-organization in the area which finally lead to the formation of a police-free, community lead territory known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone. As the protesters constructed barricades around the perimeter of the newly proclaimed autonomous zone and erected signs containing messages such as „You are now entering free Capitol Hill“ (which seems to be visibly inspired by the mural thats stands at the entrance of a self-declared autonomous nationalist area of Derry, Northern Ireland, that existed between 1969 and 1972) , „People’s republic of Capitol Hill“, „No-cop co-op“ and alike, the Zone caught the public eye and caused an avalanche of various responses on social media.
