    Tankies think it's xenophobic to hate the CCP because to them the CCP owns the bodies of Chinese, HKers and Taiwanese people. Dissenting labor activists don't exist, pro-democracy activists don't exist, no one exists except the CCP

    Vira Ameli is a PhD student at Oxford who has defended Iran's policy of barring dissident Iranian academics like myself from even entering our country. This is beyond reprehensible. Until she apologizes, anyone who ever interacts with her needs to be reminded of this.

    Same move used by Imperialist agents—supposed 'democracy loving' IR-opposition—paid to silence Iranian voices. I was the target of this, but found the experience empowering. No doubt this will only give more power to & consolidate solidarity for her ✊🏿

    If you still need to understand how barbaric the Kafala system is, here's another video. They are being sold into slavery and many of them are literally dying on the job. This is a policy 100% maintained by the Lebanese government. It is there by design.
