The 33rd season premiere of Cops, which follows on duty police officers, was pulled in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death, with Paramount Network confirming it has no plans for the show to return. A&E Network’s Live PD was also taken off schedule and is facing scrutiny following a report that the show had, but no longer retains, footage from the death of Javier Ambler, who died in police custody last year. In a statement, Live PD host Dan Abrams said the District Attorney’s office never asked A&E or the show’s producers for footage of the incident.

On Tuesday, President Trump said that Gugino could be a “provocateur” for the activist group Antifa, and that the encounter with Buffalo police may have been “a set up.” Several outlets, including BuzzFeed, Bloomberg and WBFO, said the claim was unsubstantiated. Two local police officers have been charged with assault over the incident.
