  4. Are they applauding their colleagues for assaulting a 75 year old man, or are they applauding themselves for walking over him as he bled from his head? So much to applaud about all round.

This week the NYT printed Tom Cotton’s fascist screed and turned down my op ed about photo-journalist Linda Tirado’s loss of vision in her left eye to a rubber bullet in Mpls. Just a coincidence, I’m sure .

    1. Police decided to violently quell protests to loudly proclaim they won’t change. 2. The strategy backfired because we now have 100’s of videos of cops using excessive force. Ppl who didn’t think police brutality was an issue last week now believe police reform to be essential.

Re: that awful video. Buffalo PD officially said that the man tripped & fell. If we didn’t have video there would have been no accountability. Why? Because one “bad apple” pushed him down but 20 “good apples” would have let him get away with it. It’s systemic.

Every American should read this. He’s asked twice, by a cupcake interviewer, what we should do about policing reform. And he can’t get within 1000 miles of an answer. He literally doesn’t understand the question.

I worked with people with mental illness and violent offenders as a therapist for years. I was trained in de-escalation and in the proper way to physically restrain clients who were endangering themselves or others. I carried no weapons. And I was just a fucking therapist.
