Live at the Olympia '96 is a live double album by British hard rock band Deep Purple. It was recorded at the Olympia in Paris on 17 June 1996 during the Purpendicular tour and released in 1997.
Initial copies of the release have a round sticker on the front of the CD jewel-case, stating 'Official Bootleg'. Whether this was because the band had some issues with the sound-quality is unclear.
One of only three Deep Purple live albums to feature a performance of "Maybe I'm a Leo", the other being Deep Purple in Concert and Live at Montreux 2011.
All songs written by Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice except where noted.

Olympia is an exhibition centre, event space and conference centre in West Kensington, London, England.
Opened in 1886 as the National Agricultural Hall, it was built by Andrew Handyside and Company of Derby and covered an area of 4 acres (16,000 m2). The Grand Hall, 450 feet (140 m) in length, by 250 feet (76 m) in breadth, was said to be the largest building in the United Kingdom covered by one span of iron and glass.
It now features four event venues and a conference centre. The event venues are Olympia Grand (19,325m²), Olympia National (8,730m²), Olympia Central (formerly Two) (7,850m²) and Olympia West (7,688m²).
The nearest railway station is Kensington (Olympia) which is both a London Overground station and on the District line of the London Underground.
Olympia’s story began in May 1884. John Whitley had created the National Agricultural Hall Company with the aim of building and operating the country's largest covered show centre. The National Agricultural Hall soon changed its name to Olympia in keeping with its ideals and objectives.
Live at The Olympia is a live album by American alternative rock band R.E.M.. It is a recording of five-night residency the band held at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin between June 30 and July 5, 2007, and released on October 27, 2009. In this series of "working rehearsals" all of the songs on Accelerate were debuted, with many of them still as works in progress. The album is a two-CD release, and contains a total of 39 songs. In addition, a DVD with a documentary entitled This Is Not a Show directed by Vincent Moon is included. A special edition box set containing the album on 4 LPs as well as the two CDs and the DVD is also available.
To promote the album, R.E.M.'s Dublin website had full streaming clips of "Driver 8", "I've Been High", and "Harborcoat", along with videos for "Living Well Is the Best Revenge" and clips from the Reckoning EP, while the video for "Drive" was made available on R.E.M.'s Myspace page. R.E.M. was an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by lead singer Michael Stipe, lead guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and drummer Bill Berry. One of the first popular alternative rock bands, R.E.M. were noted for Buck's ringing, arpeggiated guitar style and Stipe's surreal vocal quality. R.E.M. released their first single, "Radio Free Europe", in 1981 on the independent record label Hib-Tone. The single was followed by the Chronic Town EP in 1982, the band's first release on I.R.S. Records. In 1983, the group released its critically acclaimed debut album, Murmur, and built its reputation over the next few years through subsequent releases, constant touring, and the support of college radio. Following years of underground success, R.E.M. achieved a mainstream hit in 1987 with the single "The One I Love". The group signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1988, and began to espouse political and environmental concerns while playing large arenas worldwide.
