    This is important. It's emotionally raw to see the Defence Secretary show the impact what's happening in Afghanistan personally has on him. "It's because I'm a soldier," he said. Tough to watch.

    Hundreds of Paras will be sent to Afghanistan to help. Why paras? Defence source says: “if things go badly south they need to have troops who can protect themselves&the people they've been sent to protect.This isn't for sitting back. If they have to fight they'll fight.”
