Fingers crossed while excited that vaccination has started. Least it will do is remove fear. Allow world to reboot. And for us to start living again.

Singing collectively is powerful thing, music that unites. Dream of an India where village, mohalla, town has groups of people singing together. Today’s networked and flat world needs such collective cultural manifestations. Watch this programme, bringing together the world.

Photo to show how good was. And to remind us, as an individual and a nation, that if we are capable, does not matter how many opponents we have.

Lighting Diwali lamps makes me pray for an India that treasures the light of knowledge, the glow of kindness and the brightness of diversity. India without the glare of hubris, the darkness of prejudice and the smoke of intolerance. Proud, My India shines.

Dussehra is about good over evil. Durga slays Mahisasura, Ram kills Ravan. Let’s defeat our own demons: hatred, jealousy, intolerance and greed. And I am sure we will defeat COVID. Happy Vijay Dashami.

Indian Foreign Service represents India, both the nation and the idea, abroad. What greater honour or privilege can one ask for. And in , the IFS has delivered, in style and substance and kept India’s flag flying high. Happy Day.

163cm, 45kg, frail, walks with stick. And bought down an empire. “This little man, so frail in appearance, is tireless, and fatigue is a word which does not exist in his vocabulary.” Where from his energy, his strength? A puny colossus. My greatest idol.

Lord Jagannath has no legs no hands no eyelids yet for Odias he is ultimate deity “lord of the universe”Imagine any other God depicted like this. People would cry sacrilege, be outraged. Specially today, when man thinks he protects God. How admirable is the emancipated Odia mind.

We need to invigorate Indology not only as an academic exercise but as a tool for understanding the depth and breadth of India. From scientists to industrialists, from artistes to politicians, millennials and critics, all should find it useful.

Indology is the study of all aspects of India. Historic & contemporary, exalted & mundane, academic & pragmatic, religious & secular, good & bad. India is too big & too diverse for anyone to have a complete picture. What you get is what you search.

Never thought Agri”culture” will evoke such reactions. Don’t understand how any move which gives farmers and everyone associated with farming greater options and choices and reduces control can be bad.
