    ‘It’s an awful feeling not to trust govt to keep us safe.’ This is such a good point. Sympathy & solidarity with 2.2 million shielding. But please make your own decisions based on own circs rather than trust govt that would release this 10pm on Sat night for political expediency

    If you’re a shielder feeling stressed or anxious this morning, I hope you’re doing okay. It’s an awful feeling to not trust the government to keep us safe but I know we’ll do it together. Give yourself a cosy Sunday and switch off the news for a bit if you need.

    I was the first to speak up. Since then, dozens of bereaved families have contacted me - I act solely to serve them. Please never forget how the government treated frontline workers.

    Dozens of frontline NHS workers anonymously messaged me today. Thank you Dr Nishant Joshi for bravely speaking up for them all about lack of protective equipment & absence of tests. Shockingly this includes his pregnant wife - also a dr & exposed to virus

    Now we’ve flattened the curve & reduced new infections, from tomorrow, the 2.2 million people who have been shielding can safely go outside I know how much those shielding have sacrificed. Thank you to everyone who has protected our NHS & saved lives

    People w cancer & chronic illness, children with developmental problems, people waiting for life changing surgeries: they’ve all been denied proper care. Not to mention exhausted traumatized COVID staff. The NHS has been overwhelmed - just less visibly than we expected

    We didn't protect out NHS. We turned it off. Cancelled all planned surgeries Postponed many cancer treatments Non-Covid A+E admissions down 35% The NHS got through this cos we paused it. Not cos the govt provided resources, or funded it properly, or did good planning.

    The chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee......

    Tonight seeing VERY heavy social media activity on & counter reactions from social media accounts linked to at least 3 foreign adversaries. They didn’t create these divisions. But they are actively stoking & promoting violence & confrontation from multiple angles.

    This is amazing. Does Dominic Cummings’s ‘spare cottage’ have planning permission? Some compelling (though unconfirmed) evidence here that it doesn’t. Electoral fraud is one thing, Dom. But planning permission?!? Have you met the British?

    BREAKING: 2.2 million high risk people who’ve been shielding can go outside for first time on Monday. Either with members of household, or if they live alone to meet 1 person. This announcement has come out of the blue, even for disability orgs. I’ll be chasing details.
