It's no coincidence this group doesn't allow any other type of posts - no politics, religion, jokes, songs, pandemic et al. They enforce this 100% strictly. Even Covid advisories etc are not allowed!

Not sure if this is convincing. C02 emissions per capita can go down (via technology changes), but with an increasing population (true for most countries), the climate change situation will be far worse off in aggregate!

But then it's not economic growth that's damaging the environment. Population growth is doing it.

Having worked in the govt, I've seen the other side of the equation. Every sector will SOS the govt, but honestly startups + tech cos expecting govt to foot payroll with taxpayer's money are at the FAG END of the pecking order in a country like India. /2

Q: "Who cares? Let them get wiped out!" This 2min rant on CNBC is (unfortunately) spot on👇 Have to agree.... High street finance - Hedge Funds, PE, VC shouldn't get govt direct bailouts (some operating concessions are fine though) /1

But where we fall totally flat is the "how it works" part of design. For that, you need universally recognized, world class products & brands from India... something that's almost been a non starter. Hope this CBSE move leads us in that direction (medium to long term)!

Remember the famous quote - "Design is not only how it looks, Design is how it works". Well... India is probably right up there with the best in the "how it looks" part of design. Our imageries, colors, art are distinctive & well recognized globally.

IMHO the lack of a product & design driven culture is a big contributor why India is merely an also-ran in the global products space. Plugging my 2019 blogpost on this topic👇

Maybe "...exposing its dark underbelly!" wasn't the right phrase to use; what I meant was "...exposing some of it's inherent contradictions!" Wish twitter would allow tweet editing:)
