17 02 20If any of y’all didn’t know, there’s a free online library, aka
and I found like, twelve ebooks I’ve been wanting to read on there, and blasted through like three of them during the course of a boring-ass shift.
Open Library; “Hey u wanna read Unfinished Tales of Numenor and Middle Earth and the Silmarillion for the 45th time?”
Me; “Oh shit yeah I do.”
Open Library; “Hey can we interest you in the complete works of Tamora Pierce and Diana Wynne Jones.”
Me; “I need that in my eyeballs immediately, yes please.”

11 02 20My name is Erin Darling, and I’m a queer watercolor artist form Tacoma, WA. I paint original anthropomorphic characters and storybook scenes.
Art has been a lifeline for me. It connected me to people who chose to support me even when my kids’ dad left us, even when I came out of the closet as bisexual.
My first book came out in 2019: Coco and Olive, The Color of Love. It’s a story about blended family by international adoption advocate, Michelle Madrid-Branch.
My goal is to write and illustrate my own story books that feature inclusivity and queer characters.
Patreon has been key to stabilizing my income so that I can achieve that goal, and I send out fun perks to my patrons each month: stickers, fridge magnets, notecards and art prints.
It would mean a lot to me if you’d join my Patreon! The link is here!

we have this app called toogoodtogo where restaurants/cafes/bakeries/hotels and so on sell their leftovers for really cheap to reduce foodwaste
i got all of this for €4 from starbucks
bless
The America version is called FoodForAll
I love TooGoodToGo all of this sushi cost me £3.50 (the chinese food cost me £3.59)
YOOOOOOO, they’re formalizing this?!?!
I used to do community service at a community breakfast, we’d go to the local Safeway and get all their stale bread, the local bakery for their stale baked goods and whatnot.
They throw away so much food it’s ridiculous, I’m glad someone finally created a program like this!
The American app isn’t available everywhere but if you’re broke in NY or Boston, check it out!
The US app logo currently looks like this and was last updated 3 weeks ago (as of January 25th 2020)
TooGoodToGo is available in many European countries, including the UK, much of Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Italy and the Iberian peninsula.
This is amazing! It can help so many people!
31 01 20I’ve always wanted internet friends but have never actually had the courage to ask. so this is me asking I guess. I hope this isn’t an inconvenience. if you’d like a good friend to love and support you, I’m here. even if you want to send memes back and forth that’s fine.
we can talk about a show, a movie, your favorite character. we can talk about your day, your favorite music. anything and everything.
