    I love this quote on identity. I’ve been struggling w my recent choice to not practice law atm. It was hard for me to divorce myself from my self-inflicted identity as a lawyer, something I had identified w for decades. Thx for sharing this 🙏🏼

    Very true, and let’s not forget , who has been pioneering fully distributed work for years and had built-in resilience and advantage when COVID struck.

    Twitter and Shopify combined have ~10,000 employees, and their approach to work will ripple through the industry. Just as Intel, HP, and others originally defined how we operated for decades in tech, we'll see a redefinition for the 21st century by new digital companies.

    Everyone should read this thread, especially the last few tweets.

    I’ve been working on a fully distributed/remote basis since leaving a big company in ‘07. I’ve never actually met our back office/CFO equivalent, nor have I ever been in the same room as our corporate lawyers or investment bankers.
